Understanding is Discovering

In this video, Dr. Jerome Bruner speaks of how different styles of learning and the different stages and learning are two key concepts behind the flexibility of Squeak's design.  Squeak is both a programming language and a pilot curriculum for teaching children math and science.  Bruner is a major influence on the Squeak work and provides fascinating insights on the minds of children.
"We will never really know how the world is, we always have to construct what we think the world is. We do it by describing the human situation by describing stories. We do it in science. We do it in interesting ways." - Dr. Jerome Bruner
